Chicago Did Not Just Beat New York

Chicago beat New York 4-3 in 10 innings at Citi Field on June 25.

Michael Conforto put Chicago on the board in the sixth with a line-drive RBI single to right, scoring Dansby Swanson.

Alex Bregman followed with an RBI double to right, bringing in Conforto. Ian Happ added an RBI single to right as the Cubs stretched the lead to 3-0.

New York answered in the bottom of the sixth. Eric Wagaman hit a two-run homer to left with A.J. Ewing aboard, cutting the deficit to 3-2.

Jared Young tied the game in the seventh with a solo homer to right-center field.

In the tenth, Pete Crow-Armstrong lined an RBI double to right, scoring Matt Shaw with the go-ahead run.
